DME Demonstration Day 2012

On Thursday the 19th of April, OPEC Systems held their DME Demo Day at the ACT Emergency Services Agency’s Hume Training ground in the ACT.  The day was designed to showcase the latest in Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) solutions and Mobile Hospital Capabilities as well as to give our attendees the chance to experience a level of exposure to technology and information that isn’t ordinarily available.

The day was attended by over 60 personnel from the Australian Defence Force and Emergency Service Departments. The attendees were given the opportunity to have a hands on approach in the demonstration of CBRN and Field Hospital solutions.  Guests were able to gain access to specialist equipment and personnel on the day and were also given the opportunity to be presented with solutions that are currently on offer as well as new and developing technologies that will become available through our supplier network.

The day was an incredible success that would not have been possible without the help of many people. A huge thankyou goes out to all involved including our suppliers particularly Chris from Remploy Frontline and Toni and Samuli from Environics who made the trip from Europe, Hudson’s Catering for their delicious menu and the ACT Emergency Services Training Ground for letting us use their fantastic facility. Without their help and the help of all the OPEC staff the day would not have been possible.

On behalf of OPEC we want to thank all who came to the day and we look forward to sharing more of these days with our suppliers and customers in the future.
